Details

Gut and Immune Balance, now with more "good bacteria" and with a balanced blend of the two prominent species Acidophilus & Bifidus.
Sprinkle or stir 1/2 teaspoon into beverage or with food of choice.

The beneficial bacteria, called probiotics, are living microorganisms, which normally reside in the GI tract. The delicate balance of this microbiota, known as flora, supports the normal barrier function and may become altered with the use of herbicides, medications (such as: antibiotics), acid blockers, oral contraceptives, general illnesses, surgical procedures and digestive inflammatory diseases. Even physical stress and malnutrition associated to the Standard American Diet (SAD) will affect this balance.

An altered flora is related to diseases associated not only to the digestive tract, but to immune response. Our intestine is the body’s most important immune function–related organ! Approximately 60% of the body’s immune cells are present in the intestinal mucosa; these control responses against food (such as: allergies), viruses, bacteria, and parasites.

In addition to the immune response, new research relates gut health to mental functions as well. Among many benefits, probiotics have been found to:
• Lower GI oxalate absorption (reduced calcium oxalate stones),
• Reduce diarrhea from antibiotic use,
• Reduce bacterial overgrowth,
• Increase B12 availability,
• And perhaps, by altering the intestinal microbiome, facilitate weight loss.
Additional benefits include vitamin synthesis of vitamin K and biotin!

COMPOUNDING EFFECT VITALEPH´s Probiotics contain different strains, which not only enhance, but compound their strength. This multi-strain approach is the optimal combination to recolonize the gut with beneficial bacteria known to prevent conditions associated with bacterial overgrowth such as digestive symptoms and vaginal infections.
